Mitzi Buckley, 69, of 3058 Pheasant Run Drive, Lafayette, IN, passed away at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 15, 2010 at her residence in Lafayette, IN.

She was born January 13, 1941, in Medaryville, IN, to Everett and Vivian Shepperd Odle. Mitzi married Ralph Buckley December 26, 1970 in Medaryville, IN. Ralph died February 14, 1976.

Mitzi was a member of the Church Alive in Lafayette, IN.

She was a beatician. She was the former owner of the Country Scene Headquarters beauty shop in Rensselaer, IN from 1978-1985. She also had a the Mitzi's barber and beauty shop in Lafayette, IN., where she worked with the residents of Rose Walk Village nursing home.

Mitzi enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren.

Robert M. Fritz, 59, of 342 East Galbreath Drive, Winamac, IN, passed away at 3:17 PM Thursday, April 15, 2010 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN.

He was born September 11, 1950, in Winamac, IN, to Robert G. and Bernice M. Kruger Fritz.

He had attended Calvary Baptist Church, Winamac.

He was a retired truck driver for Diamond Trucking, Peru, IN. He was a member of the Teamster's Local 135.

He was very active with the re-enactment of the 1800's.

He loved horses, hunting and fishing, canoeing, and racing cars. He also enjoyed mountain biking and hiking trails.

Doris A. Dilts, 90, of 624 East 13th Street, Winamac, IN, passed away at 6:45 AM Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac, IN.

She was born October 30, 1919, in O'Fallon, IL, to Roy and Jane Carr Alexander. Doris married John A. Dilts on April 27, 1946 at O'Fallon, IL. John died July 3, 1981.

Doris graduated from O'Fallon High School in O'Fallon, IL and from Rubrcam Business College in St. Louis, MO.

During World War II she worked as a secretary in head quarters at Scott Field, (now Scott Air Force Base). It was there that she met her husband John. Rev. Leo Smith married them in the base chapel.

Doris had been employed as a secretary at Singer Controls, (later Eaton Corp) in Winamac for 26 years. After retiring from Eaton, she worked for Beach Real Estate and the Winamac TV Cable Co. for 10 years.

Doris was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac and had served on the Parish Council. She was a member of the Christian Mothers, Daughters of Isabelle, and Ladies of Charity. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary, American Legion Auxillary and Delta Sigma Tau Social Sorority.

Doris loved playing cards and making quilts for her family and friends. She liked people and never met a stranger. She was a true Winamac Warrior fan. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy. They will miss her dearly because she was a lot of fun and loved them all.

He was born December 31, 1922, in Winamac, IN, to Ernest and Edna Taylor Nimz.

Jack was a life long resident of Winamac.

He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Teamster's Union.

Jack served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

He enjoyed wintering in Texas and having breakfast and coffee with his friends.

She was born May 17, 1916, in Monterey, IN, to John Richard and Ruth Reinhold Overmyer.

Lenore R. Overmyer married Clifton P. Kline on May 1, 1938 in Leiters Ford, IN. He passed away March 16, 2004.

Lenore was a member of the Monterey United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday School for many years.

She was a former 4-H Leader.

Lenore enjoyed sewing and crafts.

She was born October 8, 1925, in Ford County, IL, to Jacob and Irene Boardman Gerbracht. In 1942, she married Clyde Clark Culp in Monon, IN. He passed away September 8, 1998.

She was a retired sales clerk from K-Mart in Monticello, IN.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren and watching them do their 4-H projects.

RITA E. MROZINSKI

Rita Elaine Mrozinski, 85, of 619 North Ewing Drive, Winamac, IN, passed away at 11:55 AM Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Triumph Our Lady of Peace Hospital in Mishawaka, IN.

She was born March 22, 1925, in Detroit, MI, to Henry and Jaunitta Spencer Bartek. Rita was married on February 13, 1965, in Winamac, IN, to William Mrozinksi. He passed away on April 8,1997.

She served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy during World War II, and was a member of American Legion Post #71, Winamac.

She lived in Winamac since 1955, coming from Logansport, IN.

Rita was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Winamac, and had served as Secretary of the Council at the church.

Rita was a former employee of Thermo Products in North Judson, IN, where she was a marketing assistant and manager of the printing department. Rita also served on the Board of Director's of Kewanna Metal Specialities, Kewanna, IN.

She recently retired as a 31 year member and 26 year Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

She was instrumental in establishing the Pulaski County Arts Association and had previously served as President. Rita was also instumental in the creation of the Pulaski County Family YMCA.

Rita was the 1999 recipient of the Harold J. Halleck Community Service Award from the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce.

Rita was the former manager of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles office in Winamac. She had been active in the local, state and national Democrat Party. She was named a Sagamore of the Wabash by Governor Frank Obannon.

She given the Award of Merit by the Indiana Hospital Health Association, and was named the 2000 Area One Senior of Year.

She was a patriot who loved and served her country and community.

Cyril Vernal Conn, 92, of 624 East 13th Street, Winamac, IN, passed away at 5:00 AM Sunday, April 4, 2010 in Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac, IN.

He was born November 17, 1917, in Winamac, IN, to William and Edna Conner Conn.

He married Louise Loretta Malecki on May 14, 1949, in North Judson, IN. She died on June 26, 1997.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Winamac.

Cyril was also a member, Past Secretary and Past Master of Winamac Masonic Lodge #262 F&AM, life member of the South Bend Scottish Rite, Pulaski-Starke Shrine Club, and the ORAK Shrine in Hammond. He was a volunteer driver who took many children to the Shrine Hospital in Chicago.

He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII and was a life member of VFW Post #1728, Winamac.

Cyril was a former custodian at the Pulaski County Court House, Winamac.

He enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing.

Nancy Ann Reynolds, 58, of 205 East 33rd Street Apt. B Marion, IN, formerly of Winamac, IN, passed away at 3:55 AM Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.

She was born July 3, 1951, in Winamac, IN, to Chester and Betty Frazier Reynolds.

Nancy was a member of the Marion Unity Christian Church in Marion, IN. She enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School.

Nancy was a 1970 graduate of Winamac Community High School. She was a graduate of Ball State University and a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. She was a retired Special Education Teacher. She had taught at J.C. Knight Elementary School in Jonesboro, IN. Nancy had also worked for PARC in Winamac, IN. She was a very hard worker.

She had met Red Skelton at Ball State University.

Nancy liked animals, especially her four cats. She liked to read, do puzzles, and cook. She also enjoyed making and selling greeting cards. Most of all, Nancy loved children.

She was born November 12, 1918, in Chicago Heights, IL, to Charles and Clara Reichert Krohn.

Evelyn C. Krohn was married to Chester "Pete" Leslin on Dec. 2, 1939, in Winamac, IN. He died on Jan. 3, 1985.

She was a member of a Bunco Club and loved to play bingo.

She was an avid flower grower.

Evelyn loved riding and caring for horses.

She enjoyed playing the Lottery.
